Jammu, March 3, 2025: In a major crackdown against bovine smuggling under Operation Kamdhenu, Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines in Sub-Division Nagrota.
A police team from Police Station J.Kotli intercepted a load carrier auto bearing registration number JK02DN/3245 at Naka Sukeater. The driver of the vehicle managed to escape from the spot, but the police rescued four bovines and seized the vehicle.
Following the incident, an FIR No. 32/2025 under Section 223 of BNS and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station J.Kotli. Further investigation into the case is underway.
The local public has appreciated the relentless efforts of the police in curbing bovine smuggling and ensuring strict action against offenders.
