Reasi, J&K, March 10, 2025: A 30-member delegation of farmers from Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir, has embarked on a four-day exposure visit to Punjab under the Seed and Seed Multiplication initiative. The visit, organized by the Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO), Reasi, was flagged off by Sh. Rajinder Mengi, District Development Council (DDC) member from Panthal, in the presence of District Agriculture Officer Sh. Parshotaam Jyoti and other officials, including Sh. Bharat Bhusshan, Sh. Sunil Kumar, Sh. Rajeshwar Kumar, and Sh. Puneet Kumar.
The objective of the visit is to provide hands-on training and exposure to modern agricultural practices, advanced crop management techniques, and innovative farming technologies. The farmers will interact with experts at various agricultural institutions, research centers, and progressive farms in Punjab, gaining valuable insights into sustainable and profitable farming methods.
This initiative aligns with the government's ongoing efforts to boost agricultural productivity and improve rural livelihoods in Jammu and Kashmir. By equipping farmers with the latest knowledge and skills, the exposure visit is expected to contribute to enhanced farm output, economic growth, and the overall development of the agricultural sector in the region.
