Poonch, Feb 28, 2025 – A massive search and rescue operation was launched by Poonch Police today after a tragic accident in which a Xylo vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into the Poonch River near Kalai.
Under the leadership of DySP Headquarters Poonch, Neeraj Sharma, and SHO Poonch Police Station, Inspector Rashad, police teams worked tirelessly, covering areas from Kalai to Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge and further downstream to Khari Karmara, in an effort to locate the missing persons.
Despite harsh conditions, the police personnel remained dedicated to their mission, ensuring that every possible effort was made to rescue those affected and provide relief to their families.
The search operation will continue in the coming days until all missing persons are accounted for. Poonch Police has reaffirmed its commitment to public service and ensuring the safety of citizens.
