Jammu | February 18, 2025: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu Police arrested three drug peddlers in the Bishnah area and seized 15 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta).
A police team from Police Station Bishnah, led by SHO Sushil Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and overall guidance of SP Headquarters, intercepted three suspects at Chak Bana, Bishnah. The accused attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended.
Arrested Individuals:
1. Rakesh Kumar Choudhary (S/o Baldev Raj) – Resident of Bana Chak, Bishnah.
2. Jeet Raj (S/o Som Nath) – Resident of Khour Dunian, Tehsil R.S. Pura.
3. Navjot Singh (S/o Vikram Singh) – Resident of Khore Dunian, Tehsil R.S. Pura.
Upon conducting a search, the police recovered 15 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession. A case has been registered under FIR No. 16/2025 at Police Station Bishnah under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is underway.
Jammu Police reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating the drug menace and urged citizens to report any suspicious activities. The identity of informants providing crucial leads in such cases will be kept strictly confidential.
