Three Criminals Arrested in Ring Road Assault Case; Shotgun and Sharp Weapons Seized
Jammu, 13 February 2025: In a swift and decisive operation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) have successfully solved the violent assault case that took place at Ring Road, Chatha Gujran. Acting promptly, the police apprehended three notorious criminals and seized a double-barrel shotgun along with an arsenal of sharp-edged weapons, preventing further violence.

The incident occurred on January 20, 2025, when a car-related dispute escalated into a brutal physical assault involving armed attackers. Following the attack, a case was registered at Police Station Kanachak, and an investigation was launched under the supervision of senior officers, including SDPO Domana, SP Rural Jammu, and SSP Jammu. A dedicated team from BPP Gajansoo, under the guidance of SHO PS Kanachak, worked tirelessly to track down the culprits.

After an intensive probe, the police successfully arrested the prime accused:

1. Mukesh Kumar alias Gesha (S/o Dilawar Kumar, R/o Ward No. 01, Kashmiri Mohallah, Akhnoor)


2. Ajay Kumar alias Jaggu (S/o Ram Lal, R/o Kutu Chak, RS Pura)


3. Surjeet Singh alias Shittu (S/o Santokh Singh, R/o TCP Kharian, Miran Sahib)



During interrogation, the accused revealed crucial information, leading to the recovery of a double-barrel shotgun, three Tokas (sharp-edged weapons), a baseball bat, and two bamboo sticks. The vehicle used in the crime was also seized.

This timely action by JKP highlights their zero-tolerance policy against crime and their commitment to maintaining law and order in Jammu. Senior officials have commended the police team for their efficiency and assured that further arrests may follow as investigations continue.
