Thana Diwas Observed at Police Station Bishnah, Strengthening Community-Police Cooperation for Security
Jammu, February 20, 2025: Thana Diwas was successfully observed today at Police Station Bishnah, Jammu, under the leadership of SHO Police Station Bishnah. The event brought together prominent citizens, shopkeepers, and representatives from key areas, including Main Market Bishnah, Chak Avtara, Ratnal, Kheri, and Kothi Morh, to discuss pressing community concerns and enhance public safety measures.

During the meeting, participants were urged to extend their full support to the police by providing timely and actionable information to help prevent any untoward incidents, particularly with the upcoming festival season approaching.

One of the key directives issued during the event was a strict instruction to shopkeepers to prevent hawkers and vendors from selling goods in front of their shops. This measure aims to reduce congestion and improve public movement in the area. Additionally, attendees were reminded to ensure that their CCTV cameras remain functional, as surveillance plays a crucial role in enhancing security.

A major highlight of the event was the police’s strong emphasis on combating drug abuse, which continues to pose a serious threat to society, particularly the youth. Residents and shopkeepers were urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking or substance abuse. The police also encouraged active participation in anti-drug campaigns within communities, schools, and marketplaces to create a safer and healthier environment.

The police department reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with citizens to not only crack down on illegal drug activities but also to support rehabilitation programs and awareness initiatives aimed at curbing addiction.

Together, through community participation and proactive policing, Bishnah can move towards a safer, drug-free future. Authorities called upon all residents to take a stand against drugs and contribute to making Jammu a safer place for future generations.
