Shri Bhim Sen Tuti Takes Charge as Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone
Jammu, February 3, 2025: Shri Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, a 2004 batch officer of the J&K cadre, has officially assumed charge as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone. He took over the responsibilities from the outgoing ADGP Jammu Zone, Shri Anand Jain, IPS, in a formal ceremony today.

Prior to his appointment as IGP Jammu Zone, Shri Tuti held several key positions in the police department, including SDPO East Jammu, Additional SP Sopore, SP Leh, SP Kishtwar, DIG JSK Range (twice), DIG DKR Range, and IGP Hqr/POS PHQ J&K. He has also served on deputation in Jharkhand and the Union Territory of Ladakh as SP/DIG.

On his arrival, he was accorded a warm welcome by DIG JSK Range, Shri Shiv Kumar, IPS, along with other senior officers from Jammu district. Following this, the outgoing ADGP Jammu Zone, Shri Anand Jain, IPS, provided a comprehensive briefing to the new IGP on key issues concerning crime, militancy, and law and order in the Jammu province. An introductory meeting was also held with officers at ZPHQ Jammu, where discussions focused on emerging challenges and priorities for the region.

Meanwhile, the Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu Zone, bid a warm farewell to Shri Anand Jain, IPS. A farewell ceremony was organized, attended by senior officials and staff members of the ZPHQ/RPHQ Jammu, to acknowledge his contributions and dedicated service.

With his extensive experience, Shri Bhim Sen Tuti is expected to bring a strategic approach to maintaining law and order and tackling security challenges in Jammu Zone.
