Samba Police Solve Theft Case; Accused Arrested, Stolen Cash Recovered
Samba, February 27: The Samba Police successfully solved a theft case reported at Police Station Ghagwal, arresting the accused and recovering approximately ₹37,000 in stolen cash from his possession.

On February 25, 2025, a written complaint was lodged at Police Post Rajpura by Sanjeev Kumar, son of Bisakhi Ram, a resident of Dhulma Chak, Tehsil Rajpura, District Samba. He reported the theft of ₹37,000 from Kul Devta Sthan Baba Bali Karan, Dhulma Chak, by an unknown individual.

Acting swiftly, the police registered an FIR (No. 34/2025) under Sections 305 and 331(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Ghagwal and initiated an investigation.

A police team, led by the Incharge of Police Post Rajpura, conducted an extensive probe and successfully apprehended the accused, identified as Surinder Kumar, son of Ram Pal, a resident of Ramloo, Tehsil Ramgarh, District Samba. Upon sustained interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in the theft, leading to the recovery of the stolen cash.

Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
