Jammu, Feb 14: Komal Singh Manhas, Bureau Chief of News18 India, Network 18 Broadcast Ltd, Jammu, has once again been honored with the prestigious Bharat Ke Anmol National Award. She received this accolade at the third edition of Bharat Ke Anmol, held at the Taj Deccan on National Women’s Day.
The event, dedicated to celebrating women achievers, recognized unsung heroines from various fields. The awards were presented by actress-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Hon’ble Speaker, Ms. Kalvakuntla Kavitha, MLC and founder-chairperson of Jagruthi Foundation, and Ms. Nerella Sharada, chairperson of the Telangana State Women’s Commission.
Komal Singh Manhas had previously received the award at the first session of Bharat Ke Anmol Rattan in Delhi in 2023, becoming the first woman journalist from Jammu and Kashmir to be honored with this prestigious recognition. Her consistent contributions to journalism have earned her national recognition.
Adding to her achievements, Komal was also conferred with the prestigious Jammu & Kashmir UT State Award this year on Republic Day. She is widely known in journalistic circles as an “encounter specialist journalist” and continues to make a mark with her fearless reporting.
This double honor further cements her position as a leading figure in Indian journalism, inspiring many in the field.
