Kathua, February 28: In a significant breakthrough against vehicle theft, Kathua Police have successfully solved a motorcycle theft case, recovering a stolen bike and seizing four more unregistered motorcycles. One accused has been arrested in connection with the case.
Under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena (IPS), the police team of PP Nagri, led by PSI Ravinder Thakur and guided by DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh and SHO PS Kathua Insp. Sandeep Chib, carried out the operation.
The case was registered on February 21, 2025, at PS Kathua, regarding the theft of a motorcycle bearing registration number PB 35V-2684. Following a thorough investigation, the police arrested the suspect, identified as Bir Mohd, son of Shamasdin, resident of Magar Khad, Tehsil Kathua.
Upon interrogation, the accused revealed the location of the stolen motorcycle, which was subsequently recovered. Additionally, four other motorcycles, all without registration numbers, were found and seized under Section 106 of BNSS.
