Kathua Admin Discusses Modalities to strengthen Mission YUVA
Kathua, February 27: A key meeting on the Institutional Business Support Mechanism under Mission YUVA was convened in Kathua under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua, Surinder Mohan Sharma. The meeting attended by the representatives from the Skill-Based Development Unit (SBDU) and the Block Head Development (BHD) teams to streamline the implementation process by ensuring a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities among all stakeholders.  

During the session, ADDC Surinder Mohan Sharma emphasized the need for a well-coordinated approach to effectively execute Mission YUVA’s objectives. He underscored the importance of each stakeholder having a thorough understanding of their roles to ensure seamless and efficient implementation. A detailed presentation was conducted, outlining the specific responsibilities of each stakeholder involved in the mission to enhance clarity and accountability.  

A key agenda of the meeting was the selection of Yuva Doots, who will play a vital role in grassroots outreach and the execution of Mission YUVA. It was decided that the selection process would adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Yuva Doot Document to ensure transparency and fairness. 

Besides, discussions were held on a structured mechanism for the allocation of panchayats to 
Yuva Doots, facilitating the smooth rollout of various initiatives under the mission.  

Pertinently, Mission YUVA is a handholding scheme of government of JK UT aimed at empowering the youth by providing them with skill development opportunities, employment support, and entrepreneurial guidance.

Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to the successful implementation of Mission YUVA, the ADDC stressed the need for coordinated efforts from all stakeholders. The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to work towards ensuring the initiative reaches its intended beneficiaries and creates meaningful opportunities for the youth of Kathua.

CPO Kathua Ranjit Thakur, DDM NABARD Amit Kumar, AD E&CC Kathua Piyusha Khajuria and other concerned officers were also present.
