IGP Jammu Reviews Operational Preparedness in Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range

Jammu, February 10, 2025: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Shri Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, conducted a high-level review meeting on the operational preparedness of the Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range. The meeting took place at the Range Police Headquarters in Batote and was attended by senior police officials from the region.

During the meeting, IGP Jammu assessed the security situation, operational readiness, and response mechanisms in the districts. The discussion focused on strengthening coordination between various security agencies and police forces to maintain law and order while addressing potential security threats effectively.

A detailed review of force deployment strategies in the region was conducted, with emphasis on countering emerging challenges, enhancing surveillance, and improving coordination between field forces and intelligence networks. The IGP also discussed logistics support, patrolling strategies, and preventive measures to mitigate security risks.

He stressed the importance of community engagement, particularly in remote and difficult terrains, to build public trust and cooperation. Additionally, he highlighted the need to ensure the welfare of officers deployed in these challenging locations.

The meeting was attended by the DIG DKR Range, SSPs of Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban, SSP Special Ops and Training (ZPHQ, Jammu), SSPs Ops of Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, and Jammu, along with the Staff Officer to IGP Jammu.
