District Police Reasi Cracks Theft Case, Recovers Stolen Equipment
Reasi, February 21, 2025: In a swift and efficient operation, District Police Reasi successfully solved a theft case involving stolen Radio Remote Units (RRUs) from mobile towers in the region.

The case came to light when a written complaint was lodged on January 22, 2025, by Sunil Kumar, son of Bishan Dass, a resident of Mahadev, Reasi, at Police Station Reasi. Following the complaint, an FIR No. 11/2025 under Section 303(1) BNS was registered, and the investigation was entrusted to PSI Jarnail Singh, In-charge of Police Post Dera Baba.

During the investigation, multiple suspects were questioned. Based on strong suspicion, the police detained two individuals on February 17, 2025:

1. Uttam Kumar, son of Kes Raj, resident of Kanjali


2. Sangram Singh, son of Lehar Singh



Following intense interrogation, both suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime. Acting on their disclosure, police successfully recovered the stolen RRUs.

The investigation was led by SHO Reasi, Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao, and I/C PP Dera Baba, PSI Jarnail Singh, under the close supervision of Dy.SP HQ Reasi, Vishal Singh Jamwal, and Addl. SP Reasi, Iftikhar Ahmed, JKPS. The entire operation was executed under the guidance of SSP Reasi, Sh. Paramvir Singh, JKPS.

District Police Reasi reiterated its commitment to public safety and crime prevention. Authorities have urged citizens to report any suspicious activity, emphasizing the importance of community participation in maintaining law and order.
