DC Rajouri Reviews Jal Jeevan Mission Implementation, Stresses Timely Completion and Accountability
Rajouri, February 04: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, chaired a comprehensive review meeting to evaluate the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) schemes in the district. He emphasized the importance of adhering to project timelines and directed officials to expedite the execution of works.

Taking a strict stance on accountability, DC Sharma ordered the blacklisting of defaulting contractors and instructed officials to impose penalties as per contract terms. He also directed Junior Engineers (JEs) to conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and timely completion of projects.

The review meeting also assessed the electro-mechanical components of completed schemes, with the DC seeking updates on their operational status. Contractors present at the meeting shared challenges faced during execution, while the administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the successful implementation of JJM to provide safe and reliable drinking water to Rajouri residents.

The meeting was attended by Executive Engineers from PHE, JPDCL, and R&B, along with representatives from the Quality Control & Planning Division (QC&PD), District Project Management Unit (DPMU), and Third-Party Inspection (TPI) team of Rajouri.
