Anantnag, February 20, 2025: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking and its financial networks, Anantnag Police has attached a double-storey under-construction residential house belonging to Abdul Majeed Bhat, son-in-law of Mohammad Ahsan Ganaie, a resident of Cheenigund, Srigufwara.

The property, spread over 1 Kanal of land and valued at ₹1 crore, has been seized under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police confirmed that the house was linked to proceeds from drug trafficking.

Abdul Majeed Bhat is involved in a major narcotics case registered under FIR No. 68/2021 at Police Station Srigufwara, where a substantial quantity of contraband substances was recovered.

This action underscores Anantnag Police's commitment to dismantling drug networks and curbing the financial infrastructure that sustains the illegal narcotics trade.
