Theft Case Solved: Stolen Property Worth ₹1 Lakh Recovered by Police Team of Police Post Sidhra, Jammu
Jammu, 19-01-2025 – In a significant breakthrough, the police team from Police Post Sidhra successfully solved a theft case, recovering stolen property worth ₹1 lakh.

The incident was reported on 18th January 2024 by Mohd Fareed, son of Abdul Gani Wani, a resident of Asrarabad, Sidhra. Fareed filed a written complaint at Police Post Sidhra, stating that unknown thieves had broken into his brother’s house in Asrarabad and stolen valuable items. The stolen goods included 2 pairs of silver bangles, 1 pair of silver earrings, and a gold necklace.

Upon receiving the complaint, a case was registered under FIR No. 13/2025 at Police Station Nagrota, with sections 331(4) and 305(a) of the BNS Act. The police team immediately launched an investigation into the matter.

After extensive efforts, the police identified and apprehended a suspect, Sartaj Ali alias Kaka, son of Mohd Shafi, who is also a resident of Asrarabad, Sidhra. During the interrogation, the suspect revealed vital information that led to the recovery of all the stolen property. The recovered items were promptly seized by the police as evidence.

The accused, Sartaj Ali, has been arrested and is currently in police custody. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full scope of the crime.
