Srinagar, January 14: Prominent Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, conducted a comprehensive visit to two key healthcare facilities in Srinagar—Gousia Hospital, Khanyar, and UPHC M.R. Gunj. The visit focused on reviewing the progress of ongoing extension works and discussing measures to improve healthcare services in these institutions, particularly for the residents of Shahr-e-Khaas.

At Gousia Hospital, Khanyar, Sagar inspected the extension project currently underway with an allocated budget of ₹12 crore. Similarly, at UPHC M.R. Gunj, he reviewed development work valued at ₹2.63 crore. He expressed satisfaction with the progress while emphasizing the importance of adhering to timelines to ensure timely completion.

During his visit, Sagar engaged in detailed discussions with the administrative heads of both healthcare facilities, addressing critical requirements, operational challenges, and potential improvements in healthcare delivery systems. He stressed the need to modernize facilities, enhance efficiency, and ensure the availability of quality healthcare services for the local population.

Sagar also convened a meeting with representatives of the Beopar Mandal (traders' association) in M.R. Gunj, where he discussed their concerns and sought feedback on how healthcare infrastructure could support the community more effectively.

The leader was accompanied by key officials and party members, including Coordinator Khanyar Abid Wani, BP Bashir Ahmed Wani, Youth Leader Burhaan Zargar, Vice President Women’s Wing Kashmir Rukhsana, Coordinator Hazratbal Mohammad Irfan Zehgeer, and Hanan Hasan Qazi. Their presence underscored the party’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the people and addressing the developmental needs of the region.

Speaking to media representatives after the tour, Salman Ali Sagar reaffirmed his dedication to enhancing public healthcare facilities in Srinagar. He emphasized the significance of such initiatives in ensuring the well-being of Shahr-e-Khaas residents and pledged continuous efforts to facilitate infrastructural growth across his constituency.
