Jammu, January 24: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, inaugurated the newly constructed Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhawan in Bari Brahmana, Jammu. The building has been established by the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Educational Society with the aim of promoting education, equality, and social progress, values that Dr. Ambedkar championed throughout his life.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Omar Abdullah expressed his gratitude for being part of such a significant event. He highlighted the importance of Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals and their relevance in today’s society. "I am grateful for the opportunity to inaugurate this landmark institution that embodies Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals of education, equality, and progress. His vision for an inclusive and educated society continues to inspire generations," he said.
The Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhawan is envisioned as a hub for educational activities, social gatherings, and community development programs. Equipped with modern facilities, the institution aims to provide a space for learning and community engagement, especially for underprivileged sections of society.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including members of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Educational Society, local leaders, and residents of Bari Brahmana. The society members lauded Omar Abdullah for his continued support of initiatives that promote equality and social justice.
