Udhampur, January 25: The District administration of Udhampur today celebrated National Voters' Day 2025 with great zeal and enthusiasm. A district-level event was organized in the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, highlighting the importance of voting and active participation in the democratic process.

The event, held under the theme “Nothing Like Voting,” saw the presence of key officials, including Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, who presided over the function. The celebration aimed to create awareness among citizens about their voting rights and responsibilities, emphasizing the significance of each vote in shaping the nation’s future.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner lauded the Election Commission’s efforts to empower voters and ensure free and fair elections. She encouraged the youth, especially first-time voters, to actively participate in elections and contribute to strengthening democracy.

Special focus was laid on recognizing young and new voters, with several first-time voters being felicitated and presented with voter ID cards as a gesture of encouragement.
