Sumb, Jammu: Today, a special bus for the Mahakumbh Mela departed from Shri Narsingh Dham Shiv Mandir in Sumb. The bus is taking devotees to the holy city of Prayagraj, where they will participate in the grand Mahakumbh Mela and engage in various religious rituals.
On this occasion, devotees chanted "Jai Shri Ram" and "Har Har Mahadev," offering their best wishes for the journey. The trip has been organized by the Shri Narsingh Dham Temple Committee, aiming to provide devotees with a spiritual experience of the Mahakumbh Mela.
Purpose of the Yatra:
The Mahakumbh Mela is one of the largest religious gatherings in India, held every 12 years in Prayagraj. Millions of devotees from around the world come to the confluence (Sangam) of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers to take a holy dip and seek blessings for salvation. This journey is intended to give devotees the opportunity to bathe at the Sangam, perform spiritual rituals, and experience the religious significance of the Mahakumbh.
Special Arrangements:
Special arrangements have been made for the journey. Devotees will be provided with food, accommodation, and guidance. Members of the temple committee mentioned that during the bus journey, devotees will have the chance to listen to devotional songs and participate in spiritual discussions.
Significance of the Mahakumbh:
The Mahakumbh Mela holds great importance in Hinduism. It is not only religiously but also culturally and socially significant. Devotees believe that taking a dip in the Sangam during the Mela helps cleanse them of their sins and gives a new direction to their lives.
