Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir – In a significant crackdown on drug-related activities, Kulgam Police apprehended two drug peddlers in the Qaimoh area. The individuals were found in possession of contraband substances during a routine operation conducted to curb the menace of drug trafficking in the region.
The accused have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Ganie, son of Jaleel Ahmad Ganie, and Arif Ahmad Ganie, son of Sanaullah Ganie, both residents of Qaimoh. Acting on specific information, police officials conducted a raid and successfully apprehended the suspects on the spot.
Following the arrest, a case was registered under FIR No. 03/2025 under sections 8/20 and 29 of the NDPS Act at the Qaimoh Police Station. The recovered contraband substances have been seized as evidence, and further investigations are underway to ascertain the source of the drugs and the network involved.
