Jammu, January 27, 2025: In a major crackdown on crime, Jammu Police arrested a notorious criminal, Pankaj Singh alias Panku Raja, son of Gopal Singh, a resident of Kotli Mian Fateh, Miran Sahib. The accused, with 12 FIRs registered against him and a history-sheeter at PS Miran Sahib, had recently been released after serving detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
Acting on specific intelligence, a team from Police Station Bishnah, led by Inspector Sh. Sushil Choudhary, carried out a swift operation resulting in Pankaj Singh's arrest. During the raid, the police recovered 25 grams of heroin-like substance and an illegal 9mm pistol from his possession.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP HQ Jammu, showcasing the police's commitment to combating criminal and drug-related activities in the region.
A case has been registered at Police Station Bishnah under relevant legal provisions. Further investigations are ongoing to uncover the network involved in the recovered narcotics and illegal weapon.
