Excise Team Takes Action Against Illegal Liquor Dens Under Collector's Supervision

20 Liters of Illicit Liquor and 1800 kg of Mahua Lahan Seized and Destroyed
In line with the Madhya Pradesh government's ongoing campaign against illegal liquor production, a major operation was conducted on January 5 under the guidance of Chhatarpur Collector Mr. Parth Jaiswal. The action was spearheaded by Assistant Excise Commissioner Mr. Bhimrao Vaidya and executed by the Excise Department team.
The operation targeted illegal liquor activities in Kabootra settlements located in the villages of Sarsed and Imliya, falling under the jurisdiction of Harpalpur police station. As part of the raid, four cases were registered under the Excise Act. However, no accused individuals were found at the site, and efforts are underway to locate them.

During the operation, the team seized 20 liters of illicit liquor and 1,800 kilograms of Mahua Lahan (raw material used for liquor production). Both were destroyed on-site. The total value of the seized items is estimated to be approximately ₹1.90 lakh.

This action reflects the administration’s commitment to curbing the production and distribution of illegal liquor in the region.
