New Delhi: Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, the Hon'ble Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, marked the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution by participating in a special event held at the National Philatelic Museum in New Delhi. The event, aimed at celebrating the historic milestone, showcased an impressive collection of stamps commemorating the Constitution, offering a visual journey through the nation's rich constitutional history.
Dr. Pemmasani admired the meticulously curated exhibits on display at the museum, which beautifully depicted India’s constitutional evolution through the years. Among the many artifacts, the stamps highlighting key moments in the nation's journey from independence to the present day were of particular significance.
During the event, Dr. Pemmasani also made a symbolic gesture by purchasing a letter box, reinforcing his commitment to the celebration of Indian heritage and the values enshrined in the Constitution. Furthermore, he added his pledge to the 'I Pledge To' wall, an interactive display where individuals could pledge their commitment to upholding the spirit of the Indian Constitution.
The celebration was part of the larger national initiative commemorating 75 years of India’s Constitution, which is being observed under the Amrit Mahotsav banner. The event was attended by key figures, including Jyotiraditya M Scindia, the Hon'ble Minister of Civil Aviation and other prominent leaders, who expressed their dedication to furthering the principles of justice, liberty, and equality laid out in the Constitution.
The Ministry of Communications, in collaboration with India Post, has been at the forefront of this initiative, using stamps as a medium to spread awareness about the importance of the Constitution in shaping India’s democratic and social fabric. Dr. Pemmasani’s presence at the event reflects the government's strong commitment to preserving and promoting the legacy of India's constitutional values.
