Delegations from Kashmir Province Present Grievances to JKNC Leadership at Nawa-i-Subh
Srinagar, January 1, 2025:
Delegations from various parts of Kashmir Province convened at the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) party headquarters, Nawa-i-Subh, to voice their concerns and grievances. The meeting was chaired by JKNC Provincial President Advocate Mir Showkat Ahmad Mir, with prominent party leaders, including Honorable MLAs Salman Ali Sagar, Irshad Rasool Kar, Ahsaan Pardesi, and State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar from Kulgam, in attendance.

The delegations highlighted several pressing issues faced by the region, particularly in the aftermath of the recent adverse weather conditions. They expressed concerns over delays in services, particularly regarding snow clearance operations, electricity restoration, and water supply disruptions in affected areas.

In response, the party leadership provided an overview of the steps already undertaken by the administration to mitigate these challenges. Honorable MLAs informed the attendees that snow clearance operations were in progress across all major routes and that efforts to restore electricity and water supply were being expedited.

Addressing the gathering, Advocate Showkat Ahmad Mir reaffirmed the party’s commitment to serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the delegations that the Omar Abdullah-led government is steadfast in fulfilling the promises outlined in its manifesto, which prioritizes public welfare and development.

“The party remains dedicated to addressing the issues of the people. Ongoing efforts aim to ensure improved infrastructure and better living conditions. We will continue to raise public concerns with the administration and monitor the implementation of necessary measures,” said Advocate Mir.

The meeting underscored the JKNC’s proactive approach to resolving public grievances and its focus on fostering effective governance. Party leaders reiterated their appeal to the administration to expedite relief measures and assured the public of their continued support in addressing their needs.
