Rajouri, January 21: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited Badal village in Rajouri district on Saturday to express his condolences to the families mourning the tragic loss of 17 members, including 13 children, under mysterious circumstances over the past month and a half.
The remote village, located approximately 55 km from the Rajouri district headquarters, has been shrouded in grief following the unexplained deaths, which have left the community in shock. Omar Abdullah, accompanied by cabinet colleague Javed Ahmed Rana and MLA Javaid Iqbal Choudhary, met with the bereaved families to offer his support and prayers.
Upon arriving in the mountainous village, Omar Abdullah paid his respects at the graveyards of the deceased, where he offered Fatiha (prayers) for the departed souls. The somber visit underscored his solidarity with the affected families during their time of mourning.
Speaking to the grieving families, Omar Abdullah assured them of the government’s full support in navigating this difficult period.
