SAMBA, 28.12.2024 - The Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with CRC Jammu and District Red Cross Society Samba, today commemorated the Foundation Day of the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) with a special distribution ceremony benefiting specially-abled persons and underprivileged communities.
The event, which saw distinguished presence of Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajesh Sharma JKAS, marked CRC's commitment to serving persons with disabilities. In collaboration with District Red Cross Society Samba, it also featured a comprehensive distribution drive of essential assistive devices and winter necessities. The event highlighted the district administration's dedication to supporting its most vulnerable citizens.
"Today's event is about making a real difference in people's lives," stated the District Social Welfare Officer Nawaz Sharief JKAS . "By providing these essential aids and winter supplies, we're enabling greater independence and dignity for our specially-abled community members while ensuring comfort for our underprivileged citizens during the winter season."
Key distributions included motorised tricycles for enhanced mobility, wheelchairs for improved accessibility, advanced hearing aids, warm blankets and bedsheets for needy families
