Jammu, Dec 9: A delegation comprising members of the Sainik Welfare Board and NCC cadets from the 2nd J&K Girls Battalion met Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Chaudhary today in connection with the celebration of Armed Forces Flag Day. The meeting aimed to highlight the significance of the occasion and promote ongoing welfare initiatives for the families of deceased defence personnel.

During the interaction, the Deputy Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the Sainik Welfare Board and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in raising awareness about the sacrifices made by the armed forces and their families. He emphasized the importance of Armed Forces Flag Day as a reminder of the nation's duty towards its brave soldiers and their dependents.

The Sainik Welfare Board, in collaboration with the NCC cadets, is currently conducting a fundraising campaign aimed at supporting the families of deceased defence personnel.
