SAMBA, J&K 27.12.2024- Labour Commissioner Charandeep Singh, JKAS, today conducted an extensive visit to District Samba to assess labour conditions and engage directly with factory workers in the industrial hub. The visit included a public darbar organized at Labour Sarai Phase 3, SIDCO Complex, which saw active participation from factory workers and their representatives.
During the public outreach program, the Labour Commissioner, accompanied by Assistant Labour Commissioner Samba Ms. Himani Jerath Jr. JKAS, focused on creating awareness about labour laws and their implementation. The interactive session provided a platform for workers to voice their concerns and seek immediate redressal of their grievances.
"Our primary objective is to ensure that every worker is aware of their rights and has access to proper grievance redressal mechanisms," said Labour Commissioner Singh. "Through such direct interactions, we aim to bridge the gap between the administration and the workforce."
The public darbar proved instrumental in addressing several on-spot grievances, demonstrating the department's commitment to worker welfare and industrial harmony in the region.
