The annual function at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Samba, was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The District Magistrate of Samba, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, attended the event as the chief guest along with SDM Ghagwal, Sunaina Saini. A large number of students and parents participated in the ceremony held on the school campus.
The event commenced with the chief guest lighting the lamp, followed by a Saraswati Vandana. Principal Sunit Gupta welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries while addressing the audience about the school's achievements and future goals. He stated, "Our aim is to inspire students not only towards education but also towards cultural and moral values."
The colorful cultural performances by students captivated everyone. Folk dances, musical presentations, plays, and poetry showcased the students' creativity and hard work.
The highlight of the program included a Dogri group dance reflecting Indian culture and exhibitions by various departments, which were entirely created by students. The District Magistrate and SDM meticulously observed the exhibitions and praised the principal, vice-principal, and all the teachers for their high-level guidance and encouragement of students' creativity.
In his address, the chief guest appreciated the school’s academic and co-curricular activities. He encouraged students, emphasizing that participating in cultural and physical activities along with education is vital for personality development. He praised Navodaya Vidyalaya for its excellence in this direction.
On this occasion, the chief guest awarded certificates of appreciation to 21 students with 100% attendance, NCC cadets, and winners of art competitions, Hindi Pakhwada, and other activities. Additionally, Geography teacher Rohit Sharma, Biology teacher Ashok Kumar, and Art teacher Rinku Kumar were honored for their outstanding results in the annual exams of the previous academic session. Local social worker Sardar Singh also distributed prizes to students.
Vice-Principal Dr. Saklani expressed gratitude to the chief guest, SDM Sunaina Saini, all parents, and the school staff.
