Drug Peddler Arrested in Budgam: Large Quantity of Contraband Seized
Budgam police achieved a significant breakthrough in their ongoing efforts to curb the drug menace in the region. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the police apprehended a suspected drug peddler and recovered a substantial quantity of contraband substances from his possession.

According to official sources, the arrest was made during a meticulously planned operation conducted under the jurisdiction of the Budgam police station. The seized contraband, weighing over 13 kilograms, was securely packed in multiple sacks labeled with the case details, including FIR No. 464/24 and Sections 8/20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The arrested individual, whose identity has not been disclosed yet, is believed to be part of a larger network involved in the trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances in the region. The recovered material has been sent for forensic examination to confirm its nature and origin.

Superintendent of Police, Budgam, commended the swift action of the officers involved in the operation.
