Bandipora, Dec 14: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Saturday conducted a comprehensive tour to inspect various enterprises established under government schemes such as Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), Integrated Dairy Development Scheme (IDDS), Integrated Poultry Development Program (IPDP) and other schemes.
During the tour, the DC visited several units, including Kesperia Organics Papchan (established under IDDS), Sheikh Dairy Farm and Satellite Heifer Unit Gamroo (under IDDS and HADP),Rather Poultry Farm Asham (under IPDP), and Beigh Hydroponic fodder Unit wangipora Sumbal established under HADP.
As part of the tour, the DC handed over the keys of four milk vans to youth beneficiaries in Sumbal under the IDDS initiative, aiming to boost dairy supply chain efficiency and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to unemployed youth.
During his visit, Deputy Commisoner M.A.Qadri interacted with stakeholders, reviewed the support provided by departments, and evaluated market linkages for the products. He stressed the importance of value addition to enhance product quality and market competitiveness.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commisoner emphasized the importance of creating a robust support system for budding entrepreneurs to strengthen the local economy. He reiterated the administration's commitment to provide financial assistance, skill development, and market linkages to youth and urged the beneficiaries to make full use of the facilities provided to improve their income and contribute to the overall development of economy.
He underscored the administration's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, employment, and self-reliance among youth.
During the tour the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by CPO Mohammad Maqbool Lone, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer and other concerned.
