Hajin, Sonawari – In a significant development aimed at empowering sheep farmers in the region, Advocate Hilal Akbar Lone, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Sonawari, inaugurated the "Common Facilitation Center" for wool and pelt value addition in Hajin, Sonawari. The inauguration ceremony took place today in the presence of the Director of the Sheep Husbandry Department, marking a milestone in supporting local livestock-based industries.
Addressing media representatives, Lone emphasized the center's vital role in assisting individuals engaged in sheep farming across the Sonawari region. He expressed hope that the facility would enhance the livelihood of local farmers by providing them with modern resources and training to maximize the value of wool and pelts.
“This center is a step forward in creating a sustainable and profitable ecosystem for our sheep farmers. It will enable them to process and add value to raw wool and pelts, thus increasing their income and reducing dependence on intermediaries,” said Lone during his remarks to the press.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the participation of prominent figures, including the Block President of Hajin and Ishaq Bin Nabi, the district media in charge for Bandipora.
