Samba, November 16: Police organised a 'Dangal' (wrestling competition) at village Karliyan in Ramgarh district Samba under Civic Action Programme which was witnessed by large number of people of the area.
The said programme organized under CAP was presided over by SDPO Vijaypur accompanied by SHO Police Station Ramgarh in which more than fifty wrestlers (Pahalwans) from different areas had participated and all the bouts had remained interesting.
First prize ('Badi Mali') was won by Abdul Rashid S/o Suram Din of Vijaypur defeating Javed Khan of Jandiyal district Jammu whereas second prize/mali was won by Hamam Hussain S/o Sain Choudhary of R.S Pura defeating Billu of ¬¬¬¬Vijaypur.
SDPO Vijaypur and SHO Ramgarh felicitated the wrestlers (Pahalwans) with money garlands who emerged out winners as well as those who were adjudged as runners-up. Prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
