District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) Approves 104 Cases under JK-REGP in Poonch
Poonch, November 12, 2024: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) convened today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch to discuss and assess applications submitted under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Program (JK-REGP). In this significant meeting, the committee evaluated and approved a total of 104 cases, aiming to provide a boost to rural employment and economic development in the district.

The JK-REGP is a state-run initiative focused on creating sustainable employment opportunities for rural youth by supporting their entrepreneurial ventures. The program provides financial assistance and guidance to encourage local business activities, thereby strengthening the rural economy.

During the meeting, DC Poonch emphasized the importance of the program in enhancing the livelihoods of rural residents and reducing unemployment. He highlighted the committee's role in ensuring that genuine applicants receive timely support to launch their enterprises, thereby contributing to the economic growth of the district.

Key officials and committee members present at the meeting included representatives from the District Industries Centre, financial institutions, and other government departments associated with the program. The committee scrutinized each application thoroughly to ensure they met the program’s eligibility criteria and standards.

This approval of 104 cases is expected to empower local entrepreneurs, enabling them to start or expand their businesses. The JK-REGP's support aims to foster a self-sustaining rural economy, reduce dependency on urban areas for employment, and promote inclusive development in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Deputy Commissioner expressed his confidence that the successful implementation of these projects would create multiple job opportunities, uplift rural communities, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Poonch district.
