Urgent Action Ordered for Teacher Detachment in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir
In a significant directive issued on October 30, 2024, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, has mandated the detachment of teachers from non-teaching assignments across various offices in the district. This directive follows a grievance submitted by Mr. Ayaz Mughal on the "J&K Samadhan Portal," highlighting non-compliance with previous orders aimed at canceling the attachment and deputation of teaching staff.

According to the complaint, despite prior orders to cancel such attachments, they were not being effectively enforced, causing concern about teachers being assigned duties outside their primary teaching roles. The CEO's office has addressed the Zonal Education Officers across the district, requiring them to ensure that all teachers currently working in administrative and ministerial roles are detached from these offices. Teachers are expected to return to their original postings without any additional office assignments.

The CEO has also instructed the Zonal Education Officers to provide a compliance report confirming that all teaching officials have been returned to their respective schools and are not involved in administrative duties. This measure aims to ensure that teachers focus on educational responsibilities, thereby benefiting students and enhancing the quality of education in Kishtwar.

The directive underscores the government's intent to prioritize teaching roles for educational staff, minimizing administrative assignments for teachers and addressing grievances raised by stakeholders in the education sector.
