Samba, October 17: District Commissioner (DC) of Samba, Sh. Rajesh Sharma, inspected the maintenance work being carried out on the National Highway from Gaghwal to Bari Brahmana. During the inspection, he directed the concerned agencies to expedite the work, prioritize key sections, and ensure public safety.
He instructed officials to take all necessary steps to improve road conditions so that travelers do not face any inconvenience. The DC emphasized the need to install clear signboards, repair potholes, and ensure minimal disruption to traffic. This will provide a smoother and safer travel experience for commuters on the highway.
The commissioner also directed that all safety standards be strictly followed to avoid any accidents or untoward incidents. He stressed the importance of maintaining the quality of work and urged the construction agencies to ensure that there is no negligence in road repair activities.
Officials from the concerned departments were present on the occasion, providing the DC with updates on the progress of the repairs and assuring him that the work would be completed on time.
Sh. Sharma reiterated that the government’s goal is to improve the road network to provide convenient transportation for the public, which will lead to smoother traffic flow and overall development of the region.
