Jammu and Kashmir is set to witness the formation of a new government on Wednesday, as National Conference leader Omar Abdullah will be sworn in as the Chief Minister on October 16. The National Conference-Congress alliance secured 48 seats in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has invited Omar Abdullah to form the government. Omar Abdullah shared the invitation letter from the Lieutenant Governor on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). The swearing-in ceremony will take place on October 16 at 11:30 AM.
This marks a significant political development in the region, as the National Conference-Congress alliance successfully garnered a majority in the assembly elections, allowing them to form the new government.
