Banihal: In a comprehensive effort to connect with residents in the remote areas of his constituency and to gain firsthand understanding of local challenges, MLA Banihal Sajjad Shaheen recently completed an extensive tour across the region. The tour was aimed at directly engaging with the people, listening to their concerns, and gaining valuable insights into their specific needs.
Following the tour, MLA Shaheen convened an introductory meeting with Sub-Division level officers in Banihal to discuss these issues in depth and explore potential solutions. The meeting primarily focused on reviewing various developmental projects underway in the region, spanning crucial sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, power development (PDD), public health engineering (PHE), education, and connectivity.
One of the key priorities emphasized by Shaheen was the preparation for the approaching winter months. He instructed officials from the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) department to expedite the stocking of ration supplies. Acknowledging the critical need for accessibility during harsh weather conditions, he directed that every effort be made to ensure uninterrupted delivery of ration across all depots in the area, thus safeguarding residents against potential shortages.
Shaheen stressed the need for timely completion of infrastructure projects to improve connectivity, particularly in remote areas where access remains a significant challenge. He underscored the importance of healthcare and educational services, advocating for initiatives that would strengthen these sectors and make them more accessible to the local population.
