Dr. S. Jaishankar's Second Day in Pakistan: Planted an Arjuna Sapling at the High Commission

Today marks the second day of India's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar's visit to Pakistan. Amid his busy schedule, he took a morning walk and later planted an Arjuna sapling at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. This sapling was planted under the campaign "One Tree in the Name of Mother" (#एक_पेड़_माँ_के_नाम), which is an initiative to honor both environmental conservation and motherhood.
On this occasion, Minister Jaishankar remarked, "Both our environment and our mothers deserve care and respect. This Arjuna sapling symbolizes our commitment to fulfilling our duties towards the Earth and society."

The Arjuna tree is not only known for its medicinal properties but also holds a special place in Indian culture. The purpose of planting it is to convey the message that just as a mother gives us life, this tree will also nurture our environment. The goal of this initiative is not only to preserve the environment but also to raise public awareness that planting even one tree can help us fulfill our duty towards nature.

This gesture by the Foreign Minister has been warmly received by the Indian community and the staff at the High Commission in Pakistan.
