On October 24, 2024, the district-level Kala Utsav competition was successfully held at Kristu Jyoti Convent School, Samba, under the supervision and guidance of the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Samba, Shri Kewal Krishan. The event aimed to celebrate and promote the artistic talents of students across the district.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Worthy Deputy Commissioner of Samba, Shri Rajesh Sharma, who served as the chief guest. His presence added prestige to the event, highlighting the administration's commitment to fostering cultural education among the youth.
Students from a large number of schools across the district participated in the competition, which featured six distinct categories of artistic expression:
1. Vocal Music (Singing)
2. Dance
3. Play
4. Traditional Storytelling
5. Instrumental Music
6. Visual Arts
