Srinagar, October 16, 2024: Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, made an important announcement on his Twitter account. He stated that he has spoken to the Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, instructing that there should be no "green corridor" or traffic stoppage when he is traveling on the roads.
Omar Abdullah has issued instructions to ensure that the public faces no inconvenience due to his movement. He emphasized that the use of sirens should be minimal, and any aggressive actions by police personnel, such as waving sticks or forceful gestures, should be completely avoided.
He also urged his cabinet colleagues to follow this example and always consider public convenience in their conduct. He added, "We are here to serve the people, not to inconvenience them."
