In light of the upcoming elections, Election Commission Observer Solai Bharathi Dasan (IAS) and District Election Officer (DEO) Vikas Kundal (IAS) conducted a comprehensive inspection of polling stations in Surankote and Haveli. During this visit, they focused on voter facilitation, infrastructure, and compliance with Election Commission guidelines.
During the inspection, the officials ensured that all polling stations were equipped with necessary facilities like ramps, toilets, drinking water, and uninterrupted power supply. They also emphasized voter awareness programs to increase voter turnout and ensure that all voters can exercise their rights without any difficulty.
Solai Bharathi Dasan and Vikas Kundal also held meetings with various officials to ensure the smooth conduct of the election process, instructing them to follow electoral procedures and ensure free and fair elections. They conducted a detailed review of the security arrangements at the polling stations and assessed the condition of the equipment available there.
Both officials stated that all preparations are being made in accordance with the Election Commission's guidelines, with special attention being paid to voter facilities.
