DC Kishtwar urged Public to reinforce the importance of cleanliness in the spirit of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan._
Kishtwar, 25-08-2024: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan-JKAS, a comprehensive cleanliness drive was conducted today in and around various religious places in Kishtwar, including Shree Gori Shankar Mandir Sarkoot and Shree Ram Mandir Semina.
The sanitation efforts were carried out by the workers of the Municipal Council Kishtwar under the close supervision of the Executive Officer (EO) Municipal Council Kishtwar Mumtaz Mirza-JKAS.
This initiative is part of the district administration’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a clean and hygienic environment, particularly at religious sites.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar emphasized that all necessary arrangements, including sanitation, uninterrupted power and water supply, security, and a well-coordinated traffic management plan, have been put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival and Shobha Yatra in the town.
The arrangements have been made in adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the safety and convenience of the public.
DC Kishtwar urged residents and visitors not to litter and to make use of the dustbins provided at public sites, reinforcing the importance of cleanliness in the spirit of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
He emphasized that implementing Swachhta in the township and across the district will remain the priority of district Administration Kishtwar.
