Reasi, August 15, 2024: On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was organized at the Forest Division Office Complex in Reasi. The Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), hoisted the national flag as the chief guest of the event. A large number of forest department officials, employees, and local residents participated in the ceremony.
After the flag hoisting, the national anthem was sung, followed by the DFO paying tribute to the martyrs of the freedom struggle. In his address, he highlighted the importance of Independence Day and said that this day reminds us of the brave souls who sacrificed their lives to free the nation. He also shared information about the ongoing efforts in forest conservation and urged the public to contribute to environmental protection.
Cultural programs were also organized during the event, with school children captivating everyone with patriotic songs and dances. The ceremony concluded with a tree-planting drive by the officials, promoting the message of environmental conservation.
On this occasion, the DFO extended Independence Day greetings to all and called for collective efforts towards the nation's progress.
