Director General of Police, J&K, Shri R.R. Swain Chairs High-Level Meeting to Review Security Measures for 78th Independence Day Celebrations
Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, Shri R.R. Swain, today chaired a high-level meeting to review security measures for the 78th Independence Day celebrations. The meeting focused on strengthening security arrangements across the Union Territory for the Independence Day event.
During the meeting, key issues such as threat assessment, countermeasures, surveillance, supervision, intelligence gathering, deployment of personnel, and access control were discussed in detail.
Top officers from the civil administration, police, army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and intelligence agencies participated in the meeting. They provided the DGP with a comprehensive briefing on the preparations across various fronts.
All necessary steps to ensure security during the Independence Day celebrations and to deal with any untoward incidents were emphasized. Shri R.R. Swain instructed all the concerned departments and agencies to remain vigilant.
The DGP also directed the officials present at the meeting to maintain the highest standards of security and to make every possible effort to ensure the safety of the citizens.
