Samba: District Commissioner (DC) Samba, Abhishek Sharma, reviewed the preparations for various events to be held in honor of Independence Day 2024. He also assessed the progress of the Swachhta Pakhwada, 'Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam' campaign, and the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
Highlighting the importance of these initiatives, Abhishek Sharma directed the officials to expedite the achievement of cleanliness targets and to implement all plans accurately and within the stipulated time frame. He emphasized that during the Swachhta Pakhwada, all necessary steps should be taken to keep the district clean and green.
Under the 'Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam' campaign, a tree will be planted in memory of each martyr, which will not only contribute to environmental conservation but also keep the memory of the martyrs alive. Abhishek Sharma appealed to all relevant departments and citizens to cooperate in making this campaign successful.
The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, which encourages every citizen to hoist the national flag at their home on Independence Day, was also reviewed. The DC stated that the purpose of this campaign is to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and promote national unity by having the tricolor flag in every household.
Abhishek Sharma stressed the need for collective efforts to make these campaigns successful and instructed the officials to ensure that all plans are completed smoothly and on time. He stated that through collective efforts, the Independence Day 2024 celebrations in Samba district will be organized in a grand manner.
All the concerned department officials were present at the occasion, where they presented their suggestions and progress reports on the preparation and implementation of these campaigns.
