"Congress Passes Key Resolutions: Calls for JPC on Adani Scam, Caste Census, and Respect for Constitution"

Today, in a meeting chaired by Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi, attended by PCC Presidents, AICC General Secretaries, and in-charges, significant proposals were passed.

▪️ The meeting passed a resolution that a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) should be formed to investigate the Adani mega scam. This scam is fully linked with the involvement of the Prime Minister, and now it has also surfaced irregularities made by the market regulator.

▪️ A demand was made for the Central Government to conduct a caste census. This census will provide accurate data on caste demographics in society.

▪️ An appeal was made to maintain a sense of complete and true respect for the Constitution of India.

The Congress party has decided to conduct a public agitation across the country on these three issues in the coming weeks.

Additionally, the meeting urged the Government of India to stop attacks on religious minorities and their places of worship in Bangladesh and to take every possible step to enable them to live a life of safety, respect, and harmony.

The meeting also expressed deep grief and condolences over the horrible landslide tragedy in Wayanad. Shri Rahul Gandhi's demand to declare this incident a national disaster was reiterated.
