New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir Minister and two-time MLA, Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali, has embarked on a new political journey by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On this occasion, he met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, marking his formal welcome into the party.
Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali, who was previously a key member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), made this significant decision in light of the current political scenario in Jammu and Kashmir and the BJP's policies aimed at fostering development in the region. His joining the BJP is expected to strengthen the party's support base in the Poonch and Rajouri regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali discussed various issues with Home Minister Amit Shah, including development, security, and political stability in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that the BJP's ideology and the development initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership inspired him to join the party.
Welcoming Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali into the BJP, Amit Shah expressed that his experience and public support would further strengthen the party. He reiterated BJP's commitment to the development of Jammu and Kashmir and mentioned that Zulfikar Ali's inclusion would help the party reach new heights in the region.
Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali shared that he was impressed by the policies and actions of the BJP and resolved to work for the development of Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
