Six Officers Suspended After SIT Report in Hathras Case
After the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on the Hathras case, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken stringent action by suspending six officials.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has suspended the then Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police, Circle Officer, and the Station House Officer, among a total of six officials. The SIT investigation raised questions about the role of these officials. It was found in the investigation that these officials did not fulfill their responsibilities properly and showed negligence in the investigation of the case.

By taking this step, the government has sent a message that the guilty will not be spared under any circumstances. Earlier, four accused had been arrested in this case, and a chargesheet has been filed against them.
